He addressed the audience about the standards established for medical tourists in the country, saying, “I have had a collaboration with all the Major state-of-the-art hospitals to provide an excellent service to foreign patients to promote medical tourism.”
“I hope that we can promote India as a Wellness Tourism destination because India has an antiquated history of Ayurveda. And many diseases like Cerebral Palsy and Autism find the cure in Ayurveda” he added.
Dr. Mohammad Afzal Siddiqui explained that India stands to gain immensely from medical tourism and said India could outshine first-world countries in providing facilitation to medical tourists and bring India to the summit of the world.
“It is, indeed, a very booming area. An area that can bring a lot of resources to India but it is unfortunate that we lack the motivation factor in getting quality standards accreditation from NABH and therefore unable to prove our authenticity to the world,” he said.
