Who qualify for IUI?+
Doctors may recommend IUI for couples who have been attempting to conceive for nearly one year without knowing the cause of infertility. The procedure is also suitable for a male who has sub fertile semen parameters. A female partner with scar tissues on the cervix is also a good candidate for IUI.
How many sessions of IUI is considered normal?+
The success is likely to improve as the IUI rounds increase. Statistics reveal that 88% of successful patients would need 3-4 cycles and nearly 95% after 6 cycles, although age affects this number. Fertility experts recommend women below the age of 35 undergo 3 to 6 rounds of IUI before considering IVF. Three IUI cycles work best for women 40 and above.
