Dr. Ashwin Santosh Shetty is Chief Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Aster CMI Hospital, Hebbal, Bangalore, with more than a decade of experience in eye care. He completed his MBBS at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore (2004), his DOMS at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (2007), and his DNB in Ophthalmology at Bangalore West Lions Super Speciality Eye Hospital (2009), along with a fellowship in phacoemulsification and refractive surgery. His main areas of specialisation are advanced cataract surgery and refractive surgery — including complex cataracts in post-refractive-surgery eyes, and TORIC and multifocal IOL implants tailored to each patient's lifestyle and visual needs. He is certified for ICL implantation by STAAR, Switzerland, and has presented papers and posters at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Congress in San Diego, USA.
